This course covers the training recommended in Para 4 to 6 of Regulation VI/6, paragraph 6 to 8 of Section A-VI/6 and Table A-VI/6-2 of STCW Convention as amended in 2010.A trainee successfully completing this course will be able to perform on board designated security duties, including anti-piracy and anti-armed robbery related activities. He shall be able to :
- Maintain the conditions set out in a ship security plan
- Recognize security risks and threats
- Undertake regular security inspections of ships
- Proper usage of security equipment and systems, if any
